Meet the Team

Pablo founded Samán Consulting in 2018 on a simple premise: the small and mid-sized businesses that carry Puerto Rico's economy deserve the same caliber of financial guidance that large companies take for granted. He spent fifteen years earning the right to make that claim. His career started in tax at Ernst & Young and moved through mortgage servicing accounting at Operating Partners, investor reporting on an $800 million non-performing loan and REO portfolio at Caribbean Property Group, and a finance director seat at a Puerto Rico energy contractor. Today he works with clients as accountant, tax specialist, and fractional CFO, covering everything from month-end close and Puerto Rico and federal tax compliance to budgeting, financial modeling, and due diligence.

He holds an MBA in Finance and a BBA in Accounting and Finance from the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras, is a certified Puerto Rico Tax Return Specialist and Six Sigma Green Belt in Financial Services, and works in Spanish, English, and French.
